How to view a private Instagram account: legal options only
A private Instagram profile deliberately hides posts and Stories from non-followers. Old guides promised “workarounds,” fakes, and apps — that’s fraud territory and platform rule-breaking.

How a private profile works
The owner turns privacy on: new followers go through manual Accept / Decline.
Until acceptance, the feed, Highlights, and Stories are unavailable to a guest. After a decline, access doesn’t appear “by itself.”
Already accepted followers see content until they’re removed or restricted.
The only built-in path: a request
Open the profile → “Follow” / “Request” and wait for the owner’s decision.
If seeing the content matters — message the person outside Instagram (when appropriate) and explain the interest. Often faster than any “service.”
Unfollowing later is your right; forcing access through pressure or deceit is not.

Why “workarounds” are a bad idea
Third-party apps and “private viewer” sites promise a feed without following. In practice: charged money, stolen login/session, malware on the phone.
Hunting “holes” in the app, fake shops to get accepted, viewing from someone else’s account without consent — trust and service-rule violations.

Sometimes a person closed Instagram but left an open profile elsewhere — that’s their publish choice, not an Instagram “hole.”
